Returns & Refund Policy

How returns, refunds and disputes are handled on the Platform.

Last updated 25 July 2026 1 min read Version 1.0
LIYAD provides the software; each independent Seller sets and administers their own returns and refund policy in line with the Consumer Protection Act.

1. Platform role

LIYAD does not process refunds or hold buyer funds. Refund decisions are made by the Seller. Payment reversals are processed by the Seller's payment gateway.

2. Returns

Contact the Seller directly to arrange a return. Timeframes and conditions are set by the Seller and shown on their store.

3. Damaged or defective products

If a product is damaged, defective or not as described, contact the Seller within a reasonable time. The Seller must comply with the Consumer Protection Act.

4. Digital & custom products

Digital downloads and custom-made products may not be returnable. Refer to the Seller's policy.

5. Payment disputes & chargebacks

If a matter cannot be resolved with the Seller, you may escalate through your payment provider (chargeback), your bank, or the National Consumer Commission.

Platform responsibility statement

LIYAD is a software platform that enables independent sellers to create and manage online stores. LIYAD is not the seller of products listed on the platform. Unless LIYAD is explicitly identified as the merchant for a specific transaction, it does not manufacture, own, warehouse, inspect, guarantee, endorse or deliver products sold by independent sellers. Each seller is solely responsible for product quality, pricing, legal compliance, fulfilment, customer support, refunds, warranties and tax obligations.
